Airshow Description / O leteckej akcii
The first RAF organised show of the year featured a varied mix of modern military, warbirds and civilian displays at this old-fashioned RAF base. RAF Cosford in Shropshire hosts a popular air display in the Midlands. The display usually consists of a mixture of historic and modern aircraft. It is also home to the Aerospace museum which is an extension to the main museum at Hendon. The museum includes research & development airframes, missile collections, and captured enemy aircraft such as the Argentine FMA IA 58 Pucara. Airshow called RAF Cosford Airshow 2013 is held in June 2013 and will take 1 day. This military air show is taking place at DCAE Cosford, Shropshire, UK, TF11 8UP.

Cosford Air Show LogoRAF Cosford Air Show is one of the country’s top aviation events attracting thousands of people of all ages to a day full of excitement and entertainment.
As well as the flying display and static aircraft there is a children’s fun fair and Sunday market.
Even if it is wet there is plenty to do inside with our indoor craft fair and the RAF Museum Cosford, entry is included. All proceeds from the Air Show go to RAF and local charities.

One of the themes of the 2012 Cosford Air Show will be 100 years of the Central Flying School and there will be a selection of aircraft both in the flying display and in the static aircraft display to celebrate this special event.

We are based at Newcastle International Airport (EGNT). The Jet Provost, better known as the “JP” is flown by group members on training and recurrency flights, we also display the aircaft at as many airshows as possible in which group members also attend. Jet Provost 5Jet Provost 5 – XW234. XW324 was built at Warton, as the 38th Jet Provost T.5 for the Royal Air Force. It was accepted by the RAF in early 1970 and went into service with No.3FTS at RAF Leeming. Coded ’38′ the aircraft was used for basic pilot training, and also was used by the School’s aerobatics team ‘Gemini Pair’ during 1973.
