Airshow Description / O leteckej akcii
FIDA was inaugurated on 1980, the first aeronautic fair in the country, with the purpose to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Chilean Air Force. “El Bosque” Air Base was the scene of this event, with the attendance of 115,000 people and 32 companies from 13 countries. The unexpected success obliged to repeat the event every two years; thus it became in one of the most important aeronautic salons. In 1990, FIDA moved to “Los Cerrillos” Airdrome, and to its initial acronym was added the letter E to represent the Space field of its original name in Spanish language. At thirty years of existence, the exhibition is one of the most important fair within the region and in the whole world. Its sixteenth edition will take place at the north side of the Arturo Merino Benitez Airport providing the opportunity to exhibitors and visitors to access to the cutting-edge technology. The purpose of the International Air & Space Fair – FIDAE – is to provide all the opportunities towards our customers to make the businesses that are looking for in the region, by meeting all the requirements of the domestic and overseas companies from the aerospace and defence industry. Thus, the work of our executives is transformed in a business platform for the attending companies facilitating meetings with potential customers, and providing a perfect environment, supported for the 30 years of existence that make us the most outstanding fair in Latin America.
